If this is your first time on a Ragdoll cat website, let me give you a brief history about the breed. It was created by a woman named Anne Baker, in the 1960's.

She bred together several different cats to get a colorpointed, blue eyed, medium to long haired cat. The people who were lucky to get these cats, refined them to what the Ragdoll cat is today.

The cats I breed are traditional Ragdolls.  That means that they come in two colors . They are seal (looks like dark chocolate) and blue (looks like moleskin).  My kittens are traditional colors, blue and seal.

To add to the mix, Ragdolls come in three color patterns. Colorpoint, have dark heads, paws and tails and lite bodies. Mitted have white mittens on their front paws and white stockings on their hind legs. Above the mitts the legs are a color dark and finally the light body colors. Bi-colors are the ones you see in the ads, in cat magazines and at the cat shows. The bi-color has an inverted V of white on it's face, darker color after that and white chest and front paws and a lighter body color.

If this is too confusing for you, go to my photo gallery and you will see my patterns and my colors.

Personality to me is the most important piece of the mix. My Ragdolls are gentle, non aggressive, and have a medium activity level. If treated with care and not declawed the personality will get better with age, like fine cheese. If you mistreat them they will lose the personality that is so important. They are dog-like, in that they follow you around like a puppy and they need their people.

I have rescued several Ragdolls from the local Humane Society. Though these Ragdolls were mistreated and abandoned, with time and loving care they have returned to their former personalities. There is no reason to mistreat.  They are trained to scratch on a cat tree and to use the litter pan.

Ragdolls cats, got their name from the fact that they go limp when you pick them up. There is a myth that they don't feel pain, not true. Sometimes it is said that they don't shed, not true. They do shed but not as much as other long haired cats. Shedding also depends on the weather, climate and diet. My Ragdolls have medium to long hair. Some feel like an angora rabbit and others, have a denser coat. You can maintain a nice coat with weekly brushing.

Ragdolls are large and sometimes get very big. They take three years to mature and get their full color. They need to stay with their Mother for at least 10 weeks, so if you are looking for a very young kitten you won't find one here. If you are going to declaw please don't bother to visit. If you are looking for a unaltered kitten you better stay home. I alter my kittens at 12 weeks before they leave my home. That cuts back on unwanted litter and helps to keep quality in the breed.

My cats are about 8 to 12 pounds and I like it that way. I like to be able to carry them in to the vets without help.

Anne Baker bred an exceptional breed of cats. Other breeders try to improve on the original, but I feel if it isn't broke don't fix it.

You need to see a Ragdoll in person. I need to meet you, before I send my kitten home with you. I do not ship. I accept deposits of $100.00, which are non- refundable.  My males are $650.00 and my females are $700.00 (because it costs more to spay).  Sometimes I have retired breeders at less cost.

You are sent home with a kitten kit and all the information you need to have a nice transition to your home. I am available to answer any questions for the life of your cat. Don't hesitate to call. You also have a health guarantee for a year against genetic diseases. You sign a contract and you receive a pedigree slip for registration. My cats are registed in TICA and CFF.

My breeding pair has been heart scanned for HCM, they are clear. They will be scanned on a annual bases for my peace of mind and yours.
